Letdown? Get Up and Keep Going

Letdown? Get Up and Keep Going.

What's coming next is going to blow your mind.

Letdowns are rarely something people look forward to experiencing.
If we had our druthers, most of us would pick the sunny side of the street at work, home and in every corner of our daily lives. But letdowns do happen. Setbacks occur. Some letdowns we cause ourselves—resulting in not only letting ourselves down but also entire teams, divisions and companies.

Robbing you of the chance to lick your wounds in anonymity, isolation and privacy, some letdowns are big and noisy. I’m talking about the kind of public letdowns that suck the very light out of a room and cast their long shadow for days, weeks and months on end.

When you’re going through letdown hell, keep going.
Victory is on the other side.

In 2016, Draymond Green, power forward for the Golden State Warriors, was the poster child of letdown hell. The team’s ability to lose a 3-1 lead in the 2016 NBA Finals dogged the team all year. More than that, the Warrior’s NBA Finals letdown fell on the shoulders of Draymond Green. And he knew it. Talk about a bad day at work!

Draymond had a bad year at work.

So what happened next?

Draymond got up and kept going.

The Warriors got up and kept going.

As long as you get up and keep going, the universe will rise up and join you on your quest.

The Golden State Warriors added Kevin Durant to the team and the starting lineup. Durant became the NBA Finals MVP and the linchpin to Golden State clenching the 2017 NBA Finals Champions.  A universe- delivered consolation prize that made the Warriors champions this year.

When you’re in the midst of a letdown, get up and keep going.

Put in the work to get though your personal hell.  Get up and keep going.  Aconsolation prize that’s beyond your dreams is just on the other side.

Carpe Diem!
